Cross Lake and Cross Lake Patrol
Cross Lake is located in Northwest Louisiana, west Shreveport. The lake is approximately 13.4 square miles of excellent fishing with a mix of catfish, perch, and hybrid strain of Florida Bigmouth Bass. The lake is also home to many bass tournaments both locally and nationally. The size of Cross Lake allows other boating activity such as skiing and sailing.
Located at 2905 Municipal Pier Rd. is the Shreveport Yacht Club. The Yacht Club has many internationally and nationally sanctioned races with open memberships available. Several private marinas are open to provide visitors with rental boats.
There is a required $20.00 (yearly) permit for launching all boats. Permit sales are from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. seven days a week. You can contact the Cross Lake Patrol at 318-673-7245.
Cross Lake is owned and operated by the City of Shreveport and is under the jurisdiction of the Shreveport Police Department. Officers assigned to the unit monitor the lake and its activities by boat.
